Reader Engagement

About these engagement metrics
Date range
Start and end dates are both included in the results.
Retailer-link and reader CTA clicks
Both count recorded clicks on a book’s Amazon, Kobo, Apple Books, or Barnes & Noble destination link in the optimizer.
Total clicks
The retailer-link total and reader CTA total count all recorded destination-link clicks in the selected range.
By book and retailer
These counts show how many clicks each book received at each retailer destination.
Clicks by CTA type
Each CTA type names a retailer destination; its count combines clicks for that destination across your books.
Page views and click-through rate
Page views are recorded when book optimization results are shown. Click-through rate is reader CTA clicks divided by recorded page views. It is unavailable when no page views were recorded, including dates before page-view tracking began.
Per-book CTA table
Rows break each book’s clicks down by CTA type and show the book’s page views and click-through rate.
Top reader CTAs
The list ranks up to five book-and-destination pairs by click count.
Daily clicks and click-through rate chart
The chart and table show daily reader CTA clicks and click-through rate. The chart’s bars and left axis show clicks; the line and right axis show clicks divided by recorded page views. Rates are unavailable on dates with no recorded page views, so the line has a gap on those dates. CTA type filters clicks only; page views remain the denominator across all CTA types.
Previous-period comparison
The click-total percentage compares the selected range with the immediately preceding range of the same number of days. Reader CTA click-through rate also shows the prior-period rate and the current-minus-prior change in percentage points, using the same book filter. CTA type filters clicks only; recorded page views remain the denominator across all CTA types. A period’s rate is unavailable when it has no recorded page views, and the rate change is unavailable if either period has no page views.
